HL Studios IS now River Studios!!
It’s happened! After a tough year of getting the new studio ready, HL Studios commercial operation has now completely moved to the amazing new River Studios music complex. The Recording Studio has amazing space, facilities, gear and vibe. It looks fantastic and sounds fantastic. It’s and inspiring place to record. A huge thank you to everyone who has used HL Studios over the last 13 years – look forward to seeing you at River Studios

Hl Studios client “Birdy” at 25 in singles chart after song of the week on Fearne Cotton show!
Well the title kind of says it all  We are very proud that the incredibly talented Birdy has hit the UK top 40 this week at 25 having been selected as song of the week last week by Fearne Cotton. We’ve been working with Birdy for some time now and were chuffed to bits when her Dad, Rupert, got in touch to say one of the tracks we produced for her had landed her a deal with one of the world’s major publishing companies.
With musician as a father and acting in her Dad’s family blood, a fantastic pianist for a mother and a great drummer for a brother, we are very much looking forward to seeing the family again soon! Best of luck Birdy.

HL Studios prepares for the big move!
Well in case you didn’t know, we have been building the biggest private music studio in the South for some time. It’s been a torturous and difficult process, with many unexpected traumas along the way, but we are nearly there
We now expect to make it into our new amazing studios in early 2011. The new place will be called River Studios and the new website will be ready towards mid January at www.riverstudios.co.uk
In the meantime HL Studios is still working just as well as it always was so get in touch and book a session soon. Rates at the new studio will have to include VAT so save yourself 20% and get in before we move!

Guitar Plug Ins ‘R’ Us!
Not satisfied with having the Waves GTR3 system and it’s foot controller, Waves Ground, as well as a Native Instruments Guitar Rig foot controller (for our new Guitar Rig 4) we now have the new Amplitube Stealth Pedal foot controller/USB interface, every one of the the Amplitube Plug ins (Hendrix, Metal, Fender and Ampeg) and Amplitube 3 is on Pre – Order. Now if I could just learn to play guitar….

The latest incarnation of the highly applauded Guitar Rig amp simulator has arrived and been installed on our system. Tasty. Very Tasty.

Singer/songwriter Michelle Escoffery, (vocalist on UK top 20 hit “Think About Me” has been in at HL Studios writing and recording for the forthcoming Mark Hill album.

iPhone installed.
Ok, so it’s not really studio news exactly but I got an Apple iPhone and I’m rather over excited about it! My dad bought it for my birthday. It’s awesome.
