7 Months and after spending over £500,000, the biggest part of River Studios construction is complete. The Rehearsal Studios, The Dance Studio and The Teaching studios are now fully functional, along with the Cafe. Get in touch to book in!
So we all know what practice rooms are usually like – a dingy, damp, under lit room where the ceilings are too low, its gets boiling hot and barely anything works right.
Not at River Studios.
Every one of our rehearsal studios has been designed from the ground up as a professional space for bands and artists to work in space and comfort. Every room is properly sound proofed and acoustically treated – not just to stop sound from getting out but also to make it sound good inside.
The drum kits are surrounded by acoustic treatment allow you to keep the overall practice volume at a safe, clear level, so you can actually hear for real, what you sound like instead of kidding yourself you sound great ’cause it’s just one big wall of noise where no one really knows what they are actually achieving.
We have high quality, carefully chosen Mackie SRM450 PA speakers , every mixer has built in FX, the speakers are run through high quality drive racks which optimize the sound and automatically reduce feedback, there are amps in every room and if something breaks, or starts acting weird, we replace it. We take a great deal of pride in our rooms and want to keep them in top condition to give you the best experience possible. We made sure that the rooms are well lit and if any bulbs go, we replace them too.
When it comes to air conditioning, we have gone all the way. Every room is fitted with advanced (and quiet!) air handling systems which keep a constant flow of fresh, cool air coming into the room. If you want to take control of the temperature every room has a normal air conditioner on top of that!
Every room has a comfy leather sofa and theres a chill out area upstairs with more seating and a very soon there will be a staffed café serving proper cooked food and all kinds of drinks.

Rooms are available seven days a week, and prices always include the room, the drum kit, the PA and amps.
Priority obviously goes to bands who have a permanent, repeat booking, but everyone takes days off occasionally so even if the time/day slot that you want is usually fully booked, it’s worth calling to check and we are happy to keep you on our cancelations list for a one off spot or to grab your ideal repeat slot if that’s what you’d like?
